Yoga Classes Cancelled for Tuesday September 22nd!

Hi Yogis,

As I’m sure you’re aware, the mayor is advising that everyone stay off the roads for the next 24 hours due to the tropical storm.  The YMCA of Greater Houston has cancelled all classes and is shutting down their facilities at noon today. I have cancelled the Virtual Yoga Class at the Council on Recovery for tonight. I hope you will stay off the roads yourself and stay safe. In the meantime, I just posted a new YouTube Yoga Class Video this weekend that you can enjoy from the comfort of your own home - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCc4EIuNXcyQZVJh-nlsyyxQ/featured?view_as=subscriber.

Hopefully we will have class tomorrow at the Weekley YMCA. I will update you via this blog if any other classes are cancelled.

Take good care,

Dominique

Dear yogis,

I’m thrilled to let you know that I will begin teaching yoga classes again at the Harriet and Joe Foster YMCA on September 15th! My new yoga classes are scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 pm - 7:45 pm at the Harriet and Joe Foster YMCA, located at 1234 W. 34th Street. On Tuesdays we will have an energizing classical Hatha Yoga practice, and on Thursdays we will have a relaxing slow stretch Yin Yoga practice.

The YMCA has put in place CDC and state Covid-19 protocols to help keep members and staff safe. Each member will have to register online for the class they wish to attend in advance. For more information about the YMCA's policies and their new group exercise format, please visit: https://www.ymcahouston.org/SeeYouSoon.

I look forward to seeing you in person soon, as we mindfully gather together once again as a sangha - a supportive community of spiritual friends - YAY!

Namaste,

Dominique
